Birmingham City Council is consulting on its proposed Day Opportunities Strategy and draft Day Service Model. The consultation will run for 90 days from 8th April 2019 to 6th July 2019.
Day Opportunities benefit approximately 1600 citizens with a wide range of support needs including older people, people with learning disabilities, autism, physical disability, and people with mental ill health across the city and are provided by the Council and other organisations.
The Council recognises that people value day opportunities and the proposed Strategy aims to provide a set of design principles to support further development of day opportunities in Birmingham, to ensure there is sufficient provision and that it is accessible for those that need it.
To find out more about the draft Day Opportunities Strategy including the draft Service Model you are invited to attend one of the public meetings, you will need to book your place through our website.
