Locations chosen for testing new ways of delivering Early Intervention services

Progress is happening at pace in the Early Intervention Workstream, part of Birmingham Older People’s Programme.

Early Intervention describes what happens after an older person experiences a ‘trigger’, e.g., an illness or injury, and how they are supported to make a quick recovery. This support is provided for a short period of time with the aim of helping the older person remain in their home wherever possible. The vision is for older people to be as happy and healthy as possible, living self-sufficient, independent lives, able to have choice and control over what they do and what happens to them.

The latest development has seen locations chosen for testing new ways of delivering early intervention services; including the Juniper Centre in Moseley and the Norman Power Centre in Ladywood.
