STP partner UHB rated ‘Good’ by Care Quality Commission
A Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection report on University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust (UHB) has been published today, rating the trust as Good overall.
CQC carried out the inspection between 8 October and 29 November 2018. As a result, the trust is rated as Good overall. It is also rated as Outstanding for whether its services are well-led, and Good for whether its services are responsive, effective and caring.
This inspection is the first since the trust merged Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust in April 2018.
UHB provides services at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, Birmingham Heartlands Hospital, Good Hope Hospital and Solihull Hospital. It also runs Birmingham Chest Clinic, a range of community services and several smaller satellite units.
